SNSD To Debut In Japan This Year!



Oricon Japan announced today that the famous South Korean girl group, SNSD will be making a full-blown Japanese debut in August.
The nine members will be holding their first concert in Japan for 10,000 fans on August 25 at the Tokyo Ariake Coliseum. In September, SNSD is planning to release their first Japanese single. SNSD will be following the footsteps of other South Korean girl groups such as 4Minute and KARA, who have also made their debut this year in Japan.
SNSD has come a long way since debuting in August of 2007. Since then, the girls have signed with over 15 commercial companies and have created a record for winning nine consecutive times on KBS Music Bank. Their music has had a huge impact not only on the South Korean music charts, but also in the charts of Thailand and the Philippines.
Attracting people with their synchronized dancing, the girls keep fascinating fans with their various concepts and striking legs. With a strong following in South Korea, fans are already predicting the girls making a strong impression in Japan. The girls will be debuting in Japan under the new name, Shoujo Jidai.
So far only the special footage has been recorded. Their first DVD will be released on August 11th. The 10,000 people who purchase the DVD will be receiving an invitation to the debut Showcase Concert in Ariake Coliseum.
