Taeyeon's Bright Future as an Acting-dol?

DCInside held an open poll which allowed netizens to pick which idols they thought would have the most successful career as an actor. Find out who else they picked!

From June 30th to July 6th, netizens voted for the idols who they thought had a bright future in the acting world. SNSD's leader, Taeyeon skimmed into first place with 9,489 out of 27,921 votes (34%). Netizens were particularly impressed with her role as Kaoru in the musical Midnight Sun, which she participated in during May. Although it was her first time acting, she did an exceptional job and received a lot of positive feedback for her stable voice and above expectation acting.
Taeyeon barely won over fellow SM Family member and SHINee's leader, Onew. Onew received 9,331 votes (33.4%) which gave him second place. Onew also impressed netizens with his acting skills in the musical which he starred in this past April. Brothers Were Brave was Onew's debut into both the acting and the musical theatre world. He wowed the crowds and gained even more popularity because of his skills in portraying his role.

In third place was another SM idol. This time, SNSD's Yoona who received 2,221 votes (8%). Yoona has been known for her acting skills for a while now. She debuted as an actress in the drama 9 End, 2 Outs back in 2007, and soon landed herself the lead female role in the dramas You Are My Destiny and Cinderella Man. Fans look forward to her future projects.

Taeyeon's Acceptance Speech Stirs Controversy

It's another typical day in the showbiz world and yet again, another controversy heats up the web.
On today's special Music Bank episode, various performances from your favorite solo artists and idol groups were oozing on stage. But what's causing a little whirlwind on the web right now were Taeyeon's lack of energy during the show and her acceptance speech. Just what exactly happened?
Well, according to a fan that was present during the whole show:



Taeyeon's earpiece/in-ear monitor wasn't working well during the stage rehearsal. She requested help from the staff and after two recordings, Taeyeon seemed displeased. Even though the staff were clearing the stage, Taeyeon was still frustrated and refused to leave the stage.


If you guys don't know how an earpiece works, well let's just say that it's all about making the singer hear what she needs to hear to keep everything together and sounding good.
Apparently, Taeyeon couldn't hear her own voice and probably accounted the crack Taeyeon made on her note during her performance of Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck Without You. Take a look at the video below as it happens at 2:53 mark.





Furthermore, SNSD stood up on the top spot as they win 1st place on tonight's mid-year K-Chart. As Taeyeon thanked the crowd and the fans on her acceptance speech, she left a little meaningful remark saying, 「I hope Music Bank creates an environment for singers to do better.」 And by this statement, many netizens get their fingers do the work and voice out their mixed opinions:


「I understand that Taeyeon is frustrated but I think it was careless of her to be saying those kinds of things on a live broadcast.」
「She should've watched her mouth.」

SNSD and Wonder Girls Golden Voice, Taeyeon and Sunye, Graduated from Same Highschool

SNSD's Taeyeon expressed her nervousness in regards to recent Wonder Girls comeback.

In the airing of KBS 2TV 『Win Win』 on May 25th, Taeyeon jokingly expressed her discontentment as Wonder Girls (Sunye, Sohee, Hyelim, Yoobin and Yeeun) made an appearance: 「I didn't see any of these flowers when SNSD members made an appearance on this show!」

Kim Seungwoo replied, 「But Taeyeon–you're a flower!」 in which Taeyeon responded with a laughter. Moreover, Taeyeon greeted Wonder Girls with a warm welcome: 「We're not rivalries at all, Sunye and I graduated from the same high school. Congratulations on the comeback.」

Meanwhile, when Kim Seungwoo was asked to choose between SNSD and Wonder Girls, he responded, 「I choose Wonder Generation.」 2PM's Wooyoung also responded, 「I choose So Nyuh Girls」 which caused everyone to burst into laughter.

SNSD's Taeyeon and Seohyun Casted as Voice Actors for 3D Animation !

The creators of "Ice Age" have once again created a 3D animation called "Super Bad"** and have revealed a [Korean] Thanksgiving season release date. They've also revealed that Taeyeon and Seohyun from SNSD have been casted as voice actors.
[**The English title for the movie is actually "Despicable Me"]

The mega-hit animation, "Ice Age", was released as a trilogy and surpassed $1.9 Billion om earnings. The Ice Age movies set a high standard with very witty scripts and vivid and unique characters, gaining positive response everyone in all age groups.

SNSD's Taeyeon and Seohyun took the role of two of three smart and ambitious sisters Margo and Edith, who tries to change the super villain Gru to become the world's best dad.

Taeyeon's role, "Margo", in the movie is similar to Taeyeon's role as a leader in SNSD. Margo is eldest unnie who is very skillful, and she responsibly takes care of her two younger siblings. Taeyeon, who is known as a radio DJ, is skilled at voice acting and doing impersonations. She is expected to proficiently act out the voice of the smart and witty Margo.

Seohyun's character, Edith, is the cute troublemaker and second child in the family, who unpredictably embraces Gru while fooling around. It is predicted that audiences will be able to see a playful and cute side of Seohyun, who is usually loved by male fans for her shy personality.

Some fans who have seen this photo commented that she looks cuter than the kid here while someone responded by saying that she is kidier than then kid,so what you guys think concerning this issue?

SNSD Taeyeon to have a kissing scene for her musical!

SNSD Taeyeon who will be having her music debut through "Song of the Sun", she will be in a touching kissing scene in the musical.

On the Seoul Sejong Cultural Center last 7pm at the M Musical Theatre, they were having a rehearsal stage for the musical and in the story, her boyfriend "Go Jun Sik" will be singing a sweet love song "Yesterday its you, Tomorrow its you" and was directing to a beautiful kissing scene.

In the movie, originally there was a kissing scene but in Taeyeon's case it was only a lip-touch, and even asked the seniors if its really necessary to have a kissing scene and they said yes. Although she did not know what to do she was able to deliver the acting.

She is playing the role of Koaru who is diagnosed with 'xeroderma pigmentosa'. Taeyeon showed great singing abilities and also acting abilities that impressed the staff as well as fans.

Meanwhile, the musical will progress until May 29.

Taeyeon Makes Her Musical Debut

Donning a simple white top and plain denim jeans, SNSD's leader Taeyeon has finally made her debut as the lead female role in her musical Midnight Sun today, May 7th.

Musicals aren't just about the show itself, its all about the talent, the voice, the spoken dialogue and the message of the story brought by the emotions of the actors n how they portray themselves on stage. Following the steps of SNSD blondie Jessica, Taeyeon did a great job on the first night of her musical.

Last month, Taeyeon expressed her feelings on her preparation for the musical. She stated,

「My willpower is strong, and I'm really healthy, but I'm mentally tired. Because it's my first time, everything is new. Dancing in a musical is completely different from regular choreography. Because there are so many actors, if you don't keep up, you miss steps. Having to sing the dialogue is the hardest, and I got criticized a lot about having to deliver the dialogue clearly.」

Well, it appears to be that her hard work has finally paid off.

SNSD Taeyeon's belly catches huge attention from netizens

A picture has been revealed on the 29th on an online community showing Taeyeon's "Charming belly".

The title of the picture was "Taeyeon's cute animated belly". the photo was taken during SNSD's concert in Shanghai, China. Taeyeon was also seeing the same ensemble in a performance in Korea in the concert but Chinese fans were more vigilant on the situation.

Netizens find her belly "cute" and admires the milky complexion of Taeyeon's body. Although not all of the comments were nice, there were also negative comments towards the image.

A senior veteran singer Gim Do Hyang said that he wants to sing with a duet with SNSD member Taeyeon.

on the 30th, Gim Do Hyang appeared in SBS "Good morning" and talked about the new artist's appearing now and he said he is a fan of Taeyeon from SNSD. He even expressed that he would like to sing a song together with Taeyeon. He also hopes they can contact each other someday.

More official photo's has been released from the last broadcast last 25th of Chin Chin Radio where Taeyeon was the DJ.

The rest of SNSD visited her and supported her on her last day, there were also several guest's on the show. Both the staff and DJ Taeyeon were sad but because of Taeyeon's youthful energy they ended the show will lot's of energy and happiness.

The producers of the show Has been with Taeyeon for almost 2 years since she has been the DJ of the show and the producers said after words of encouragement "We hope to see you again".

Although Taeyeon was reluctan to leave the show, still fans cheered her on to do the best she can and even if she had to give up being a DJ to focus on her musical debut and oversea's promotions with SNSD Still the fans supported her.
