SNSD Seohyun, a Big Smile at Fans' Surprise Present!

SNSD member Seohyun became a happy 20 year old with her fans' special present.

Seohyun's fancafe, Cistus, published a newspaper advertisement on the 28th to congratulate Seohyun's birthday.

Cistus published pictures of Seohyun smiling brightly and a short passage, "You hold a place in our hearts with your beautiful smile. With that smile, you've given us joy. Through SNSD's Seohyun, we are as joyful and happy as can be. We sincerely wish Seohyun a happy 20th birthday."

Seohyun's management agency, SM Entertainment, revealed, "Seohyun was deeply moved by the unexpected surprise present. On this day (28th), Seohyun finished her afternoon schedules and had a simple birthday party with SNSD members and fans at the Seoul Chungdamdong SM Entertainment office."

Before this, SNSD fans had garnered attention with Taeyeon, Jessica, and Sooyoung's newspaper birthday advertisements. Seohyun is currently appearing on MBC's variety program as an imaginary couple with CN Blue's Jung Yonghwa.

Quadruple Idol Birthdays!

Today is a very special day! Four k-pop idols are celebrating their birthdays today, and they are none other than SNSD's SeoHyun, Dae Guk Nam Ah (DN-A)'s Mika and Karam, and C.N.Blue's MinHyuk!

First up we have our adorable maknae, SeoHyun! She is turning 19 this year (20 in Korean age). For her birthday, SeoHyun's fancafe, Cistus, posted a newspaper advertisement of SeoHyun smiling along with the message,

Although our little sweet potato lover is growing one year older, she will always be our wonderful SNSD maknae!

SNSD Seohyun's first single for the Kim Soo Ro OST released

SNSD youngest member, Seohyun finally releases her 1st solo song titled 'It's Okay Even If It Hurts' for Kim Soo Ro OST. The song has strong emotional appeal and Seohyun impressed the fans for improving her vocal skills.

Sooyoung & Seohyun as Reporters interviewed Lee Seungchul

Last week Sooyoung and Seohyun were day reporters for Sports Seoul. They interviewed Lee SeungChul and had a little chat.

Lee Seungchul ordered a drink as soon as he came in.

Seohyun: "Sunbaenim. Drinking already from daytime."

Seohyun being the maknae with modest image seemed unfamiliar with him ordering beer already.

Lee Seungchul: "If you understand drinking you can also understand singing. There are disadvantages too. Belly fat..."

Seohyun: "Sometimes we have office dinners where I'll have to have a drink together but I haven't tried it yet. My birthday is 28th this month. I will try a drink then."


Lee Seungchul: "Seohyun ah. You live with your virtual husband Jung YongHwa on MBC We Got Married, how is it?"

Seohyun: "Although it is virtual it's fun. I haven't thought about a boyfriend or husband before and in WGM I read a book about dating and I wrote an essay about my future husband. Someone with a big goal in life. A man with a dream. I would like to live with a huband who is earnest, kindhearted and humorous. Looks are not a priority. My dad has lots of sense of humor. So our family is really harmonious."

Sooyoung: "Really Seohyun's dad is full of sense of humor. Last year we went on vacation together with Seohyun's family and dad's humor was really something. Seohyun can sometimes be off-the-wall and 4-dimensional and it must be the genes(?)."

Lee Seungchul: "... Woori Sooyoung what type of men do you like. Seems you are popular with guys in their mid and late 20's..."

Sooyoung: "Yoon JongShin sunbaenim once told me guys would like me because I seem comforting and won't nag at them(laughs). The ideal type I want is someone to dream together and to pursue it together. Having the same religion together is important to me also."

Lee Seungchul: "Sooyoung-ah, Seohyun-ah. But men have to have 'money'. That's important."

At Lee Seungchul's words that money is important Sooyoung and Seohyun clapped and laughed.


Lee Seungchul: "So, I hear all the SNSD members went on 3 weeks-long vacations what did you guys do?"

Seohyun: "I just rested fully. Because of activities I haven't tried mass transportations like bus and subways before and during this vacation I enjoyed them fully. Wearing a mask I went out with my mom and dad to cheer for the World Cup too. I have a special connection with World Cup. In 2002 when I was in 5th grade I went to the World Cup street cheer and that's where I was casted and got started with SM Entertainment."

Sooyoung: "I went to New York with my parents and my sister. It was nice getting the rest but being apart from the members for such long time I was missing them. Eating a hamburger in New York I was thinking 'Woori Sunny likes hamburgers so much...' I went to Disneyland and listened to My Child in the car and that was a pretty happy thing."


Sooyoung & Seohyun: "We SNSD will be debuting in Japan. We will have a showcase on August 25th in Tokyo. Sunbaenim you will support us?"

Lee Seung Chul: "Sure. SNSD will do great. The friendship between the girls seem tighter than guys'. And you guys got together since young age and went through hard times so you encourage and strengthen each other! SNSD fighting !!"

Seohyun participates in the OST of drama 'Kim Sooro'

SNSD's Seohyun caught the attention of the netizens by participating in the OST of MBC's drama, 'Kim Sooro'. 

The song Seohyun sang, 'It's Okay Even If It Hurts'(roughly translated), was revealed for the first time as the ending song of episode 6, which aired on the 19th. The song is the theme song for the character Kim Sooro, who is hurt due to love, but is determined not to let the love go.

Director Lee Pilho, who is in charge of the OST, stated, "'It's Okay Even If It Hurts' is a song that shows the emotions of Seohyun well, and will be used as the title song of 'Kim Sooro'." He also added, "Thanks to Seohyun, who shouted 'One more time!' for two days until she was satisfied with the recording, great music has been created."

SNSD's SeoHyun to Release New Solo OST Single

It's been revealed that SNSD's maknae, SeoHyun, will be releasing a new solo single for the soundtrack of the new MBC drama, Kim SooRo.

Even though she is the youngest of the group, SeoHyun has proven that she definitely has the vocal chops to stand on her own! Her song, 『It's Okay Even If It Hurts』, will be the theme for the main character, Kim SooRo, who is hurt by love but is determined to keep holding on to it. 100619 Opening MC cut on Music Core

As we have informed few days ago, today Music Core were MCing by SNSD Yuri, SNSD Seohyun, and CNBlue Yonghwa. And as we know too, Yonghwa and Seohyun have been known as artificial couple for MBC vairety show We Got Married. Yuri and Seohyun dressed in red today. Watch their MCing cut below!

Jung YongHwa-SeoHyun to be special one-day MCs on Music Core this week!

MBC We Got Married couple Jung YongHwa and SeoHyun will be one-day special MCs on Music Core.

Coming 19th June on Music Core, the 2 will be the special MCs. The 2 will be special one-day MCs standing in for Tiffany who is currently resting from her throat illness. The show has been having special MCs to stand for about 3 weeks while the MCs Yuri and Tiffany are away.

It is announced that the 2 will also be MC-ing with Yuri who will return as MC on the show before Tiffany.

Maknae Seo Hyun's skin colour turns dark after the filming of Carribean CF?

SNSD's maknae Seo Hyun was spotted attending Tae Yeon's musical Midnight Sun yesterday.

Fans took some photos of the other members showing Tae Yeon's musical some support.However,some sharp eyes fans pointed out that Seo Hyun's skins was so dark compared to before.

So some speculated that it was caused by too much exposure to hot sun during the filming of Carribean CF.

Hope that she will recover soon,if not she will be catching up with Yuri's skins colour in no time!

Photos of SNSD's Seohyun in University Revealed

There's been a buzz throughout the internet as pictures have surfaced of SNSD's maknae, Seohyun, attending university!

Seohyun is currently a theater major at Dongkook University as a member of the Class of 2010 (in Korea, your class year is the year you enter school), and a classmate released these pictures. The original netizen who posted these pictures wrote, 「She's been working hard in school… I've gathered some pictures of her during her time at university.」 In the pictures, you can see Seohyun carrying her lunch tray, studying in class, signing autographs, and taking pictures with some a fan.





Netizens commented, 「Her beauty shines wherever she is,」 and, 「It looks like Seohyun's gonna work 'til she drops.」

I don't know how she gets her work done, though. It looks like her fans can't tell whether they're at a fan signing or at university!

CNBlue YongHwa received an expensive gift from virtual wife SeoHyun!

SNSD SeoHyun bought an expensive gift to her on screen husband Jung Yong Hwa of CNBlue on the show MBC "We got married"

Seohyun has been sad lately because of the recent incident with Yong Hwa. Last April 21, during the shooting of SBS Kim Jung Eun's Chocolate, during the recording Yong Hwa's voice showed signs of cracking and he go annoyed and pushed himself more. He was later brought to the hospital and was diagnosed with vocal nodules. SeoHyun found out about this and was sad for her husband.

On the 13th, on an interview, Yong Hwa said, "I received an unexpected gift from Seohyun, Thank you very much". YongHwa said at first it was awkward with SeoHyun but lately they have become friendly towards each other.

Yong Hwa added taht at first he did not know what do when he was going to meet SeoHyun of SNSD, he just showed with pure honesty his personality which made it easier for them during shootings.

Meanwhile, He did not mention what his gift was from SeoHyun.

Krystal Goofs Off With Yoona & SeoHyun

Just as f(x) is gearing up for their comeback promotions for NU ABO, their fellow SM Entertainment senior group, SNSD, is ending their Run Devil Run promotions. With one group just starting promotions and the other one having a goodbye stage, members from the two groups met backstage for a little fun!

f(x)'s Krystal updated her me2day with a picture from the MBC Music Core broadcast on May 8. In this picture, she is posing with her SNSD unnies Yoona and SeoHyun. The photo came along with a caption reading,

「Krystal is here~! Watched all of 『NU ABO』's first broadcast right? It's been a long time since I've seen our SNSD unnies at broadcast stations, and is really happy~ together with the unnies, doing our dance – 「Cheek touching」 dance, how is it??? ㅋㅋㅋ Everyone, do it together. 「NU ABO' GoGoGo ㅋㅋㅋ Byebye.」

SNSD is Jealous of Seohyun

The April 20 episode of KBS 『Win Win』 was jam-packed with activity! Girl group veteran Ock Joohyun made a guest-appearance on this episode and advised the nine girls of SNSD on many issues, which rose up a lot of attention, while the SNSD girls themselves spoke of their jealous feelings towards Seohyun's make-believe husband on 『We Got Married,』 Jung Yonghwa of CNBlue.

Kim Shinyoung, Wooyoung, Taeyeon, Kim Seungwoo, and Choi Hwajung MCed this program, and when Wooyoung asked, 「Seohyun recently started her married life with Jung Yonghwa, what do you think of him?」 Hyoyeon and Tiffany expressed their feelings of discontent.

Hyoyeon stated, 「Whenever [Seohyun] comes back from meeting Jung Yonghwa, she always wakes me up when I'm tired and brags about him [….] It's not like I can date to my heart's desire and it [feels as if] she's trying to make me more tired.」 Tiffany added on to Hyoyeon's lighthearted complaints, and continued, 「These days, it seems like Seohyun really is dating.」

Seohyun herself replied to Wooyoung's question by saying, 「I thought it was going to be awkward at first, but we are both very considerate towards each other and our ages seem to match really well, so I like it a lot.」

Poor girls! It really must be painful to watch as their fellow member goes off on dates (even if it's only fake) when their own contracts prevent them from doing so.

Seohyun 「I'm no longer last in terms of fashion sense」!

SNSD's maknae, Seohyun, recently spoke out about her change of fashion sense within the members. The girls recently took part in a Y-Star documentary called 」 Right Now, Its So Nyuh Shi Dae」 in which the girls revealed the truth and misconceptions of their fashion and also that maknae Seohyun had changed ranks in her fashion sense and is no longer in last place.

In the past Seohyun was always noticed wearing a typical high school girl's style; however, recently she has started taking a more keen interest into fashion.

The members were all very eager to share their views on her change and Sunny also claimed that their stylist was happy with this news as Seohyun now asks her what to wear the day after a performance!

Tiffany commented that 」 Seohyun used to come to us for advice before shopping, but now she's good at picking pretty items. She has better sense than her unnies.」

Fellow member Hyoyeon also commented on the maknae's change by praising her, stating 「Seohyun』s fashion sense is getting better. She went shopping with her mother a few days ago and showed [Hyoyeon] the clothes. She bought a dress and coat which goes well with her image.」

She had also revealed that 「Seohyun now ranks 2nd or 3rd in terms of fashion. After [SNSD] came back from Pattaya last year, it was already on the verge of an upgrade. At that time, Seohyun had worn a flower-patterned dress and a cute vest.」

Having turned 20 must have given Seohyun the step she needed to start being more individual on her chosen style!
