4Minute Teases With 『Superstar』

A 4Minute video teaser recently surfaced the net, showing a backwards countdown clock leading up to 7.19, the release date of Superstar.
While currently promoting with I My Me Mine from their latest mini-album, fans online have been left speculating to what exactly Superstar is. From a repackaged album to a new song, fans online have nonetheless expressed their excitement and great anticipation. According to Melon.com, 『Superstar』 will to be the girls』 newest single and is set to be released in a few days on the 19th of July.

4Minute's Japanese Producer Talks About Their Upcoming Single

Recently, more and more KPOP groups are debuting and making activities on Japan, including our very own, 4Minute as well as KARA. With regards to the increasing interest of Japanese citizens towards KPOP, a show interviewed 4Minute's Producer in Japan, Mr. Suzuki, about his views on the group's debut and their music. 

He thought that the melodious Japanese music and the powerful and cheerful Korean sound may cause a "chemical reaction" or a new change in the Japanese music scene.

He used to be a banker for a year and a half after university, and entered into music scene afterwards, where he became popular by making a music group, Def Tech, successful in 2005. He is in charge of K-pop boom in Japan.

On the near end, Mr. Suzuki interviewed some fans and attempted to ascertain how to modify K-pop music more familiar and easier to enjoy for Japanese listeners. Also, he tried to interview some fans with regards to how they find 4minute's Japanese debut single - Muzik. The first fan said that it's fine for her whether a Korean song will be translated to Japanese. However, the other fan answered that listening to the same songs which only differs in language, and to the fact that she's already used to hearing it in Korean, makes the song sound strange. After hearing the fans' answers, he planned and tried to figure out what to do in order to make their upcoming single more successful than the first one. He discussed it with the other staff, including people from CUBE Entertainment, that made him have his visit on 2010's Dream concert and was able to see the girls perform live on stage hearing a huge number of fans screaming and cheering for them.

4Minute Unveils Japanese Version of 『I My Me Mine』

While still promoting their new single 『I My Me Mine』 in Korea, the 4minute unleashes the Japanese version of their current hit song!

Like 4minute, many other k-pop groups are looking to expand into the Japanese market. Big Bang made a highly successful Japanese debut, while girls groups like SNSD and Kara are also looking to pursue future activities in Japan as well.

After releasing their popular single 『Muzik』 in Japanese, the girls are hoping to score another hit in Japan with 『I My Me Mine.』 Although the music video is essentially the same as the Korean version, there are a few scene changes, and of course, the girls are singing in Japanese.

LJoe Snaps A Photo With Hyunah

Idol group Teen Top LJoe's photo with 4minute's Hyunah has been garnering lots of attention.
On the 6th, LJoe posted this photo with Hyunah, showing cute expressions and poses, through Teen Top's Twitter.

Hyunah is LJoe's senior in school, as they are both enrolled in Korea Art High School. Although they attend the same school, due to their busy schedules, they rarely see each other.
The photo of the two idols in their school uniforms at school spread like wildfire on various portal sites.

Netizens who saw the photos commented, 「It makes me emotional seeing Hyunah, who used to be the youngest, having a junior debuting soon,」 「It's nice seeing a close senior-junior relationship,」 「The similar moles under their eyes make them look like siblings.」

LJoe's group, Teen Top, will release their debut single 『Clap』 on the 9th. They will begin their official promotions on the 10th with their debut performance.

"Who lied that it was going to rain? See, it is one of the most often-told lies by grown-ups." HyunA says sulkily as the day is bright and sunny, contrary to the weather forecast. But, even as she complains, she cannot hide the smile that spreads around her mouth. The shoot for MTV show "4minute's Friend Day," in which members of girl band 4minute become friends with civilians, kicked off with HyunA's jolly whining. Today's shoot will feature 4minute going on a picnic to Gang-chon with three female high-school students, 23-year-old military reserve officer and Ha Jae-ik, the son of Ha Il [Korean name for famous American lawyer and TV personality Robert Holly who lives in Korea]. They board the train with excitement in their hearts, leaving behind the awkwardness they felt during the opening shoot at Cheongryangri station.

At the beginning of the episode, Jae-woo, who is the oldest among the group, grabs attention with his story about "hugging HyunA who came to [his] military base to perform." But less than thirty minutes later, he becomes overpowered by the storm of girl talk and gets pushed out of the spotlight. They start playing 'The Image Game' where they can attack one another's weaknesses, and their own messed-up version of '1-4-7 Game,' causing a raucous on the train for quite some time. Then they go after the producer's wallet, asking "How much does it cost to buy everything in the [snack] cart?" The ten cast members sure look like a group of troublemakers.

What's more, they begin racing with carts and playing a fishing game near the stream. With kimbap and chicken set up as prizes, the games add fuel to their competitive fire. Gayoon displays incredible speed worthy of a car racer and makes the producers repeatedly shout out, "Huh Force!" In a bid to recover their masculine image, Jae-woo and Jae-ik, who were feeling a bit left out among the female herd, play the fishing game as if their life depended on it. The cast shows no sign of physical exhaustion, not even after spending the whole day shooting the show. Watching HyunA hop on a bike and circle the cart track on her own free will, one thought comes to mind; yeah, being young is the best thing in the world.

4Minute Will Be Performing at NHK Music JAPAN

In relation to 4Minute's upcoming promotions in Japan, it has been announced that the girls will be performing LIVE on one of the popular shows in Japan.

The girls are expected to appear as guest performers on NHK Music JAPAN on the 2nd day of August together with other famous POP Idols in Japan such as Kii Kitano, T. M. Revolution as well as the well-known JPOP groups - AKB48 and Perfume. Other Japanese artists like Sekine Mari and Japanese actress, Aoi Makoto, are also expected to be at the show.

4minute's Hyunah is a Trendsetter

Since their debut, 4Minute has been a 「Hot Issue」 and fierce rapper Hyunah is always being watched from 「Head To Toe」, especially after being a ex-Wonder Girl.

Many people have been captivated by her charisma, her style, as well as her dorky personality. With their current promotions for I My Me Mine, Hyunah decided to make a major 「 oh oh oh change」 to her hair colour for the first time since debut, and is now seen with blond hair.

The reaction from fans and netizens was like fire with constant comments complimenting her new style such as 「Her blond hair is mesmerizing,」 「It suits her,」 and, 「Anything she does is pretty,」

After Super Junior's 『Peanut Caramel』 parody, 4Minute is the next artiste to parodise After School unique group Orange Caramel with a UCC video.

Recently a staff posted on his Twitter a UCC of 4Minute Jeon JiYoon following the Orange Caramel's dance and HyunA saying, 「Nana unnie, I love you.」

Pledis commented, 「Doing the candy culture style, there is much curiosity and interests towards Orange Caramel. And because of that, it seems that there has been many parodies on the group.」

Meanwhile, there has been many UCCs posted up on various portal sites like 『Stingray Caramel』, 『Elementary student Caramel』 etc.

Who is 4Minute HyunAh's Ideal Type?

Members of girl group 4Minute(Nam JiHyun, Huh GaYoon, Jeon JiYoon, Kim HyunAh, Kwon SoHyun) revealed their ideal types.



During the broadcast of SBS PowerFM 『Choi HwaJung Power Time』on June 29th, 4Minute chose their ideal types amongst many male celebrities.

HyunAh described her ideal type as a 『guy who is not very tall』, which created particular attention. HyunAh revealed, 「Although this might be a little strange, I like people who are short. It might be because my father is short, but I just like people who are short.」

And so, HyunAh revealed her ideal type as MBLAQ member Lee Joon. Her reasoning was because 「even though Lee Joon is not very short, his appearance on stage is very charismatic」.

4Minute's leader Nam JiHyun chose world star Rain as her ideal type saying, 「I've been keeping my eye on him ever since my debut, but what I really like about Rain is his hard-working image. I also like that he doesn』t have double eyelids.」

Jeon Jiyoon revealed that she liked 『bad guys』, choosing Kim NamGil as her ideal type. Huh GaYoon chose Gong Yoo, and youngest member SoHyun, basing her ideal type on the size of their hands, chose So JiSub and MBLAQ's Mir; whom she believed would have large sized hands.

4minute reveals their no make up milky white skin and red lips

On the 29th, 4minute were guests on SBS Radio Show "Power time" where they appeared as guests with no make up at all revealing their fresh looks.

4minute are usually seen with thick and dark make up to blend with their charisma on stage, this time, they appeared with casual clothes and no make up and even looked younger than their already young ages.

4minute member's all appeared youthful and even looked like young kids in the the photo's. 4minute are known to have young members, and they showed milky white skin, red lips showing off their perfectly flawless skin on the radio show.

Netizens are admiring their no make up faces saying they look more beautiful with no make up on.

Meanwhile, 4minute are busy promoting their song "HuH".
