Girls' Generation Tiffany has came back as the MC of "MuCore"

On the 26th, Tiffany and Yuri has appeared on MBC 'Show! Music Core' with their special smile. Tiffany and Yuri attracted people with their blue and white mixed outfit that symbolized coolness on the middle of the summer.

Tiffany has been suffering from vocal fold nodule and been receiving treatments. Unfortunately, her condition has gotten worse recently. Also, they were away from 'Show! Music Core' for three weeks because of their temporary vacation.

On this day of 'Show Music Core', CNBLUE, f(x), 4minute, Seo Inyoung, IU& Im Seolong(from 2AM), Orange Caramel, MBLAQ, So Yeon from T-ARA, Koyote, Sistar, NS Yoonji, Flower, Dae Gook Nam Ah, Infinite, Electro Boys, Seo Youngeun, Sookhee, Lina, X-Cross has appeared.

Kim Nam Gil and Tiffany Explains their Relation…

Actor Kim Nam Gil had a collection of recent events with SNSD member Tiffany, creating a scandal, which fans are starting to gain interest.

Kim Nam Gil was in SBS 「Good Morning」, in which the recording was the first time he talked about his relation with Tiffany.

On this day, Kim Nam Gil recorded, 「During the drama 『Queen Seon Duk』 SNSD members, Sooyoung, Yoona, Hyoyeon, and Tiffany were fans and visited the set a few times where we had a close brother, sister relation spent. Since then we met privately a few times, which was viewed as a relation,」 explaining why the rumors about their relation has surfaced.

After that, Kim Nam Gil said 「Tiffany was like a close sister I hung around with so I don't know why this rumor came up, which had made me laugh,」 explained why there isn't a relation.

Tiffany's return as MC on Music Core to be postponed for a week

So Nyeo Shi Dae is known to be resting from her throat illness and her return as MC on MBC Music Core will be postponed for a week.

An official revealed on 17th June, 「The condition of Tiffany's throat is still not good. We are thinking for her to rest for one more week and she will not be returning as MC on Music Core on 19th June.」

With that, it seems that chances are high that Yuri will return as MC on the show before Tiffany. Tiffany has been suffering due to vocal cord nodules and had been receiving treatment for it, but recently the symptoms are back again.

Meanwhile, as fixed MCs on the show, Yuri and Tiffany had left their MC-ing role on Music Core for about 3 weeks. And in these 3 weeks, special one-day MCs had stood in on the show.

SNSD World Cup T-Shirts

Nowadays the 2010 World Cup has been a big talk in Korea, many idols have released their songs and music videos to show their support, others even created some cheer cards.

It would have been good if SNSD would make their own World Cup song too but for now let's be contented at these World Cup inspired T-shirts worn by no other than SNSD's Yuri, Tiffany and Sunny courtesy of SPAO.

Tiffany and Yuri will be taking a 3 week break as MC's in Music Core

Current MC's of music program MBC Show! Music core Tiffany and Yuro of SNSD will be taking a break from their MC duties for the upcoming three weeks after the 29th of May.

SM Entertainment said that SNSD has to take a break and will be recharging before they proceed to their oversea's promotions. Tiffany and Yuri will also be taking a break and will not be the MC's in Music Core for Three weeks. This leave's the MC spots empty for 3 weeks.

The temporary replacement's for Yuri and Tiffany has still not been decided. They will be resting as well as the other member's who pulled out from their fixed guesting appearances in variety programs.

Taec & Junho astonished over Tiffany's face

Idol group SNSD's Tiffany revealed her no make up face for the first time on broadcast.

Set to air on the 9th, Family Outing 2's 'Close Friend' special episode had Tiffany receive the invite from Taecyeon as his 'close friend guest.'

According to FO2 producers, the family members showed an explosive response to Tiffany's no make up look. Having already seen the make up less faces of the other family members, Tiffany's no make up face became the exception.

The producers stated, "Having always seen Tiffany with a lot of dark make up, 2PM members Taecyeon and Junho were especially astonished at her make up less face."

Hip hop group Leessang's Gil also gave a 'special face washing' tutorial, creating much laughter.

On SBS's episode of 'Close Friend Special' aired on the 2nd, Yoona brought Super Junior's Kim Heechul and Taecyeon brought SNSD's Tiffany as their special guests. With Tiffany's arrival, Taecyeon welcomed her by saying, "My friend is here," while Tiffany tapped him lightly, showing off their close friendship.

Kim Wonhee then observed, "You look like a honeymoon couple," and began to be suspicious of their erlationship. Tiffany and Taecyeon clarified by saying that they were only close friends but the other members were unable to believe it. They even brought in Taecyeon's old scandal, Yoona, and began to concoct a triangle relationship.

Taecyeon was also asked to choose his ideal girl between Tiffany and Yoona and chose Yoona. However, the other members were sure that his ideal girl is actually Tiffany.

SNSD members Yuri, Tiffany and Sooyoung showed off their white smooth skins for biotherm.

They recently had a photo shoot pictorial with cosmetics brand Biotherm Whitening cream. They transformed into refreshing and comfortable girls for the photoshoot.

They showed their normal skin with less makeup and smiled naturally for the camera.

Hypothetically, the secret to smooth skin is plenty of sleep and rest and SNSD members despite having a busy schedule manages to take rest and take care of their skin also with the help of cosmetic products.

Meanwhile, They are promoting in Korea and overseas for their repacked album "Run devil Run".

SNSD Tiffany, 「My family had felt more hurt about rumours of bully」!

On KBS WinWin aired on 20th April, all 9 members of So Nyeo Shi Dae had appeared on the show.

Tiffany said on the show, 「I don』t use Internet much so I don』t look at the things that netizens wrote. I only know about rumours of bully in So Nyeo Shi Dae when my family called me up.」

She added, 「My elder brother asked me if I felt tired/things are difficult. But since I was feeling tired due to work I answered yes. My elder brother had thought that I was really being bullied.」

Tiffany revealed that she only knew about the rumours when her elder brother had asked weird questions like 「Is there any specific members you are uncomfortable with?」. She then commented, 「I would usually smile and talk about such things, but my family must have felt more hurt about this.」

Tiffany Reveals the Truth Behind Her 「Outcast」 Days

There was many a rumor flying at the start of SNSD's career that member Tiffany was being outcasted by the group. On the April 20th broadcast of KBS Win Win, Tiffany disproved those rumors.

Tiffany, who usually doesn't read articles about herself, had absolutely no clue about the make-believe rift, created by netizens, between herself and the SNSD members! However, her brother did. He was apparently so concerned that he called Tiffany to try to help her through the tough time.

MC Kim SeungWoo started off this interesting story after saying to the SNSD members, 「There's been talk about an outcast in SNSD,」 to which Tiffany laughed, 「I'm the main character of that story.」

Tiffany continued,

What I really wanted to open about that issue is that I don』t really go on the internet a lot. Even when I do go on the internet, I don't really look at any of the comments on me. But then one day my older brother called me and asked, 「Are you having a hard time lately?」

I was a little surprised that he knew and told him, 「I'm having a really hard time lately. How did you know?」

Then my brother sighed and said, 「Nothing, I just thought that you might.」

When I told him, 「But at least it's going well,」 he just responded, 「What does it matter if it's going well if you're all alone?」

But then I thought he was talking about me being alone apart from my family! So I told him, 「To be honest… I'm pretty lonely.」

We went on talking about that for 10 or 15 minutes before my brother finally asked, 「Is there a specific member that's giving you a hard time?」

When I told him, 「No… What are you talking about?」 he responded, 「The story about you being a loner…」

That's when it hit me, and I just sighed, 「Oh. There are stories like that about me too.」 So then I searched for them. And the members never talked about that with me, but when I first brought it up to them, we all just laughed about it. It wasn't even a misunderstanding, but it seems like my family was really hurt by it. I'm okay!

It all, thankfully, turned out to be a huge misunderstanding! Tiffany and the other members laughed off the incident, showing their sisterly bond. Who could ever believe a rift between these nine sweethearts?

Cubed3 Apologizes for Interview Hoax

On April 19th, game website Cubed3 had organized an over-the-web interview with SNSD's Tiffany, or so they thought.

Things started to get fishy when 『Tiffany』 was answering questions very truthfully and without her normal shy behavior. Fans became very suspicious when she was asked the question, 「Do you think that you can be more successful than Wonder Girls?」 and responded, 「Of course!」

This of course seemed off to followers of SNSD and Tiffany as fans know that Tiffany has learned her lesson from many years ago about how she should answer certain questions. Tiffany has had her share of trouble when her words were being twisted in the past and SM Entertainment has since then taken action on Tiffany and the rest of the girls. Fans also knew that Tiffany is actually close to some of the Wonder Girls members and she often cheers for them. Plus, what celebrity in their prime would ruin their already growing reputation with such an obviously blatant comment that could (and would) bring negative connotations?

Shortly after the interview SM Entertainment contacted Cubed3 and informed them that the user who claimed to be Tiffany was in fact impersonating her and stated, 「We know for sure that Tiffany never had an interview like this. We have no idea why this happened.」

Cubed3 then made a formal apology afterward to both SNSD and Tiffany, displayed below:

Cubed3 Interviewing Tiffany About Nintendo DSi & More!

Nintendo has been having massive success in South Korea since it launched the DS Lite there back in January 2007. Last week, on 15th April, Nintendo Korea finally unleashed the updated DSi format in the usually PC-centric territory. However, rather than sliding it onto the market without much hype, it has enlisted the help of the most popular pop group in South Korea right now, 소녀시대, pronounced So-Nyeo Shi Dae and often referred to simply as SNSD (which translates as Girls' Generation in English). Several members of the nine-piece girl group have already featured in various TV adverts and extended promotional videos. Now the group are working on tour in the Far East, but Stephanie 『Tiffany』 Hwang took the time to answer some questions in a quick chat with Cubed3.


Adam Riley, Senior Editor at Cubed3: To start with, could you please tell our readers a little bit about SNSD? Stephanie 'Tiffany' Hwang, Girls' Generation (SNSD, 소녀시대): We debuted in August 2007 with our debut song 'Into the New World.' There are nine members in our group including me. There's Taeyeon, Jessica, Yoona, Yuri, Seohyun, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, and me (Tiffany) *smiles* 


AR: How is SNSD's new song, Run Devil Run, doing in Korea since its release in March? Considering how the style of music is very different from Oh!, what has the reaction from fans been like so far? 


Tiffany: The song's doing very well on the charts. We just won a 『Mutizen Award』 for the song and we're very happy about it [AR: This is given to an artist on TV show Inkigayo when they claim the No.1 spot ]. Most of the fans said it's very different, but they like it, so it's good! *smiles* 


AR: Run Devil Run is a cover version of a song originally sung by US singer Ke$ha, but why did you choose that particular song to cover? 


Tiffany: Well, I wouldn't say it's a 'cover'. She just sang the demo version and then SM bought the song for us [AR: SMTown is the label the group is on, and is part of SM Entertainment ]. We didn't get to choose what song to sing. 


AR: What are some of your other favourite songs from Western music artists?
Tiffany: Hmm. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all Mariah Carey songs! Especially 『Hero』!! *smiles*


AR: Can you briefly explain how the end of the video for Oh! relates to the new song, Run Devil Run? Tiffany: It doesn't really have a storyline, to be honest. The end of Oh! is supposed to tease the fans for Run Devil Run. The story of Run Devil Run is that Sooyoung spills coffee onto the computer, so the "dark" SoShi come out of the computer and start to ruin everything in the room. Then the Oh! girls come back and then we see what the "dark" SoShi girls were doing, so we unplug the computer and then they're gone! [ AR: 『SoShi』 is a shortened version of the group』s full Korean name 『So Nyeo Shi Dae』 ]


AR: Do play any instruments or help write some of the SNSD songs?
Tiffany: I can play the flute really well, but I'm not a good song-writer, unfortunately! 


AR: Other popular music groups have eventually become so famous that they made a movie, with Western bands such as Spice Girls and S Club 7 being two examples. Considering how you have all starred in various Korean TV shows, do you think it would also be a fun idea to have a Girls' Generation movie in the future?
Tiffany: Haha! That would be awesome! But I don't think it's gonna happen *frowns* 


AR: SNSD is the No.1 'Girl Group' in Korea at the moment, but do you already have many fans here in Europe and over in the US? Tiffany: From what I've read, yes! Some of the fans told me they're from Morocco, Saudi Arabia, France, England... 


AR: Have any of your songs already been released in the Western countries yet? If not, do you think 2010 will be the year when Girls' Generation 'conquers' the rest of the world?
Tiffany: No, not yet, but you can buy the "Oh!" album on iTunes *smiles* We won't 『conquer the world』 this year...but hopefully next year! We're just focusing on the Asian markets right now. 


AR: Wonder Girls have had massive success in the US with 'Nobody.' Do you think Girls' Generation can be even more successful than Wonder Girls in places like the US and Europe? 
Tiffany: Definitely!! *laughs* 


AR: With SNSD previously working with LG for the promotion of the LG Cyon Chocolate mobile phone and releasing the song Chocolate Love, would you like to also do a song to promote the Nintendo DSi? 
Tiffany: Of course, I love to sing, so I would love to sing if they asked us! 


AR: When did you agree to record adverts for the Nintendo DSi? 
Tiffany: We made the deal in February this year, but I wasn't included in it... 


AR: There are currently two SNSD DSi adverts being shown on Korean TV, but will there be more of them in the future? Tiffany: Yes there will, with more of SNSD this time! *smiles* [ AR: Some of the new adverts can be seen here ]


AR: In one of the adverts, you are seen playing Rhythm World [ AR: The Korean name for Rhythm Paradise/Heaven ]. The soundtrack included in that game is composed by Japanese music artist Tsunku. If Nintendo makes another game like this, would you like to include SNSD's music in it? Tiffany: Of course! Who wouldn't want their song in a game? 


AR: If there was a videogame made about SNSD, what sort of game would you like to star in? 
Tiffany: A fashion game, definitely *winks* 


AR: For the past three years, Nintendo has worked with some very famous Korean actors and actresses for its Nintendo DS and Wii advertising. How does it make you feel to be added to a list of famous celebrities like Lee Na-Young Lee (이나영) and Won Bin (원빈)?
Tiffany: It's amazing, because when I was a trainee, I used to watch them on television, and being able to be on the same "list" as them now is indescribable!


AR: You all look like you are having great fun on both the DSi TV adverts and the extended promotional video from http://www.nintendo.co.kr that highlights the camera and photo editing software! Would the camera and editing software be something you would all enjoy playing with when SNSD goes on tour? 
Tiffany: Yes, we need something fun to do! *smiles* 


AR: It is often said that 'the camera never lies...' So who looked the prettiest when using the DSi camera? And who looked the funniest when you used the photo editing software? 
Tiffany: The prettiest was...Yuri and the funniest was our Seobaby (Seohyun) *smiles*


AR: Has Nintendo been kind enough to give you all a free DSi? If not, will you be buying one? 
Tiffany: Not all of us got one...I didn't get one! But I would love to buy it


AR: Other than the camera function, what other things do you like about the Nintendo DSi? 
Tiffany: Unfortunately I didn't get my hands on it because I wasn't part of the first two commercials… 


AR: Have any of you ever played Maple Story from Nexon Korea? Do you think that Nintendo now has a 'killer combination' with SNSD doing DSi adverts and Maple Story DS releasing at the same time? Tiffany: I've played it once, and yeah it definitely is a great combination! 


AR: Is a game like MapleStory DS something that you think you would enjoy?
Tiffany: If it's anything like the MapleStory for the PC, then yeah I would! 


AR: The DS Lite has been extremely popular in South Korea for the past three years. Have you got one that you take with you when on tour?
Tiffany: I have a pink one *smiles*


AR: Have you tried the Nintendo Wii?
Tiffany: I'm not really much of a gamer, so no I've not tried it... 


AR: Have you seen any information about Super Smash Brothers X, which is coming to Korea on 29th April for Wii? When you and the other SNSD girls want to relieve some stress, do you think that maybe this could be a good game to play? Fighting against each other with characters like Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Pikachu and many other famous Nintendo characters is great fun! 


Tiffany: That sounds fun! But I don't think we'll have time for that *pulls tongue* 


AR: Final question - who is going to do better in the World Cup this year, England or South Korea? 
Tiffany: SOUTH KOREAAAAA!!! *grins*
